Objective of the Charades:
In the game of Charades the players will have to act out the names of a book, song, movie etc for his or her team mates to identify, but the catch is that he or she will not be allowed to do any talking. This active game of Charades is quite fun and amusing to play with your near and dear ones, especially during Christmas as it lifts up the Christmas spirit like nothing else.
Rules of the Charades:
To play the Charades, a minimum of two players are required and with it a paper and a pen or a pencil. The total number of players should be divided in to two separate teams or more if the number of guests playing Charades are really large. After that each team will have to huddle together and brainstorm the names of TV shows, books, movies, songs or phrases on a small pieces of paper. Then these papers will be folded and put into two separate jar or hat for the two teams and the papers of both the teams should not be mixed. The jar or hat of papers of one team will be used by the other and visa versa.
The team that plays fast will select a representative from their team to choose a paper from the jar or hat of the other team and memorize it. The player of Charades will also have to identify if it is a book, movie, song, phrases etc and if there is any doubt, then he or she should ask somebody from the opponent team. A time is set and as the timer starts, he or she will have to act out what is on the paper without speaking a word or moving the lips. There are some specific gestures that are usually followed while playing the game of Charades. Before the time runs out, what ever was on the paper must be acted out properly for the team members to identify it. Then it is the turn of the other team and which ever team is right in guessing the maximum number in the total time allotted wins the game.
